The beneficiaries of this law are individuals or legal entities legally constituted to perform activities such as tourism projects categorized by the National Tourist Authority.

The purpose of the Act is to create the legal and institutional framework and provide incentives for the development of rural tourism, which in Honduras has not been exploited.

It also articulates the funding mechanisms and incentives for those involved in this matter, as well as the sustainable exploitation of natural resources and rural tourism potential of rural employment generation.

This law establishes the policies and skills related to this type of “industry” as well as financing mechanisms and fiscal incentives for enterprises in the field of sustainable rural tourism.
