Continuing the Journey With The Delicious Food
We started our second day with a delicious breakfast prepared by Olinda, the mother of our friend Una. Coffee and orange juice were accompanied by homemade bread prepared with many spices. When bread is smeared with butter, cream cheese and homemade jam berries of both local and other fruit: the rubharb. We also ate crepes, or
pancakes crisis” as they call it in Iceland. This is because they are made with leftovers from the preparation of porridge, which is a typical breakfast food in times of crisis.
After breakfast we take a walk around the farm, we approach the horses has Olinda. She trains, and presents exhibitions and competitions. In total there were 29 horses of all ages, including three of them born just a few months earlier in the spring.
